Supporting “Quality as a Competitive Advantage” within the division by promoting a customer first and sustainability mindset based on voice of the complaint, risk-based thinking, and error proofing. Driving Design for Quality efforts for new product commercialization and change management projects in collaboration with Lab, Product Engineer, Application Engineer, and Manufacturing. Providing expertise in the NPI process using advanced quality tools [Voice of Customer (VOC), Linear House of Quality (LHOQ), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), control plans, etc.] Ensuring VOC is translated to robust quality plans that are seamlessly executed at the factory level. Negotiating specifications directly with customer and development team. Identifying product quality improvement opportunities and Product Process Understanding (PPU) and is efficient in making project proposals, prioritizing, collaborating, and executing priority programs. Identifying and tracking critical Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) [Lean Six Sigma (LSS) savings, Cost of Quality (COQ), etc.] Providing statistical insights through control chart analysis, manufacturing and test method capability analysis, and experimental designs. Supporting team in efforts in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Two (2) years of combined plant experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Engineering and/or Product Engineering in a private, public, government or military environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a STEM discipline from an accredited institution
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality requirements in a high-tech industry (electronics, interconnect, data center, semiconductor, medical, automotive, aerospace, etc.)
  • Experience working on a cross-functional team.
  • Expertise with quality engineering tools such as: (DQM, House of Quality, PPU, Statistics, APQP, FMEA, control plans, PPAP, SAP and/or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) documentation systems)
  • Expertise in statistical insights, including design of experiments, data analysis and software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Experience with change management, complaint management, supplier management, auditing [International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001, International Automotive Task Force (IATF)-16949, etc.) and/or Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Certifications in quality engineering, quality auditing or quality management from American Society for Quality-ASQ™ certification(s) such as: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP)
  • Black Belt or Green Belt experience
