About The Position

The Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) presents a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and address complex business challenges in the financial sector. The ICE Senior QA position plays a key role in testing and delivering trading, listing, compliance and surveillance applications, while supporting all stages of the Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC). The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a dynamic team-based environment, while demonstrating strong problem-solving, extensive technical skills, decision-making abilities and the highest level of professionalism. The candidate is also expected to have a strong programming etiquette and excellent business knowledge/experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, QA, and Automation (Java., JavaScript).
• Experience in software design, development, testing and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Java programming language, Selenium, Restful APIs.
• Automation expertise in frameworks, backend API, and UI.
• Proficient in GitHub, TestNG, Maven, Postman, and Jenkins.
• Experience with JIRA for Agile Development, Defect Management, and Test Case Management.
• In-depth experience with Agile methodology and Scrum.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a highly demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask and work independently on multiple projects.
• Ability to differentiate between a critical business impacting incident and a minor problem, and resolve/escalate accordingly.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Trading and financial applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of FIX or Multicast protocol is a plus.
• Experience with supporting production changes, UAT testing and debugging prod issues.

Responsibilities

• Senior Quality Engineer must be able to do functional, technical, and failover testing across the entire application stack.
• Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies using quality processes and methodologies to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle
• Review code base and make recommendations for testing scenarios; analyze changes introduced and assess the technical testing required.
• Assist in determining test methodology and test data setup
• Actively participate in grooming, planning and daily standups
• Execute test scenarios/test cases during formal test periods for every release
• Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements to Development
• Responsible for documenting clear and detailed defects including steps to reproduce actual and expected results
• Build regression and acceptance test scenarios
• Perform functional and End to End tests
• Perform automation test suite with testing frameworks like Selenium, Play-write, Puppeteer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is built into the product development process. Work with cross-functional teams to build scenarios in requirements, design and coding phases.
• Communicate testing progress, results, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Create test scripts and testcases to cover broad range of scenarios and ensure traceability and validation against business requirements.
• Take the initiative to improve efficiencies across systems/projects.
• Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.
