The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will lead quality initiatives, ensure software reliability, design and execute complex testing strategies, mentor junior engineers, advocate for quality processes, and evolve automated testing frameworks.

Requirements

Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) for automation framework development.
Expertise in industry-standard automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, FlaUI, Postman, REST Assured, PyTest).
Experience developing automated tests for Windows-based applications.
Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience defining and tracking KPIs such as Mean Time to Detect (MTTD), Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR), and defect leakage rates.
Strong background working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
Experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) applications and PLC devices.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM majors.
A minimum of 6 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

Designing comprehensive test strategies for complex features, ensuring full coverage across unit, integration, system, and regression testing.
Designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks from scratch, selecting appropriate tools (e.g., Playwright, FlaUI, Protractor, RestAssured, Selenium, Playwright).
Integrating automated testing into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines.
Managing and maintaining test environments (on-premise and cloud), including security patching.
Performing deep-dive risk assessments to identify application failure points and prioritize testing.
Overseeing or performing non-functional testing, including load testing, stress testing, and basic security vulnerability assessment.
Investigating complex production issues to understand bug origins and implement preventative measures.
Coaching junior engineers on best practices, code quality, and testing methodologies.
Identifying SDLC bottlenecks and proposing process improvements, such as shifting left.
Acting as a Quality Champion to promote a shared responsibility for quality.
Participating in design and architecture meetings to identify potential issues early.
Translating technical quality metrics into actionable insights for stakeholders.
