About The Position

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer serves as the independent quality authority for complex software, systems, and embedded product development programs. This role provides technical leadership, audit oversight, compliance governance, and risk management support across strategic programs. The Senior QAE works closely with Global Quality Assurance Leadership, Engineering Leadership, Program Managers, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with corporate quality requirements, program management systems, customer expectations, and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of cumulative experience in Engineering Quality Assurance, Software Quality, Systems Engineering, or Product Development.
  • Must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace, industrial controls, electrical systems, or embedded software experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of cumulative experience in safety-critical, high-integrity, or regulated product development environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits and compliance assessments.
  • Lead Auditor certification.
  • Ability to influence engineering and leadership teams without direct authority.
  • Strong technical and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting global engineering organizations.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Quality Management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance activities across multiple product development programs.
  • Execute project quality assurance activities with respect to Eaton’s global strategy.
  • Perform independent assessments of engineering processes and deliverables.
  • Review requirements, architecture, design, verification, validation, and release readiness evidence.
  • Lead internal audits and support customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
  • Provide independent quality recommendations and escalation of critical risks.
  • Drive containment, root cause investigations, corrective and preventive measures implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assess compliance with: Internal processes and standards, External applicable standards (ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, DO-178C,IEC 61508, …)
  • Mentor / coach / guide / support engineers and project teams on process and quality best practices.
  • Develop and review quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting material for project and/or executive reviews.
  • Partner with global teams to execute quality assurance activities consistently across programs.
