About The Position

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer I at LG Ad Solutions, you will be a technical leader within your team, focusing on ambiguous quality problem areas and complex test scenarios. You will design and implement exemplary test solutions that are maintainable, scalable, and extensible. This role requires strategic thinking, strong technical expertise, and the ability to influence quality practices across multiple teams. You will drive quality methods into all stages of product development while mentoring others to improve overall engineering efficiency.

Requirements

7+ years QA experience
Ability to design and execute test plans for ambiguous quality problem areas and complex test scenarios
Proven experience designing extensible test automation, scripts, and test cases
Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives addressing architecture deficiencies affecting quality
Experience delivering scalable testing solutions with limited guidance
Ability to simplify processes, remove bottlenecks, and define new quality metrics
Strong judgment on technical trade-offs between short-term team needs vs. long-term business needs
Proven ability to influence engineering team owners and QA peers regarding appropriate test strategies
Experience actively mentoring team members and improving overall team capabilities
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Experience implementing quality frameworks across multiple teams or products
Expertise in advanced test automation architecture and frameworks
Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous testing
Knowledge of machine learning testing approaches
Experience with service virtualization and mock services
Demonstrated ability to establish quality gates and metrics in CI/CD pipelines
Experience with chaos engineering and resilience testing
Proficiency in multiple programming languages
Experience developing custom testing tools or frameworks

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of test plans in ambiguous and complex product scenarios
Design test plans that split testing work into parallel tasks to be performed independently
Create inventive test solutions that are easily maintainable, scalable, and extensible
Anticipate and prevent future defects from occurring through strategic test planning
Refactor test solutions to be more efficient and identify deficiencies in test frameworks and tools
Partner with development teams to establish the quality bar for products
Create appropriate instrumentation to measure quality (pre-release and in production)
Improve engineer efficiency and work across team boundaries to share best practices
Influence decisions made by other teams to improve product quality
Actively mentor and develop others, improving their test knowledge and engineering practices
Make appropriate trade-offs between short-term and long-term quality needs
