About The Position

The Senior Quality Analyst is a member of an Agile team and works directly with other agile teams and cross functional roles to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement manual and automated testing solutions to deliver quality software with efficiency. This position is responsible for designing manual and automated test cases in support of software products (internal and external) in an Agile Teams software development lifecycle. This senior position requires technical experience performing test data preparation, automated and manual test creation/execution, and test results analysis. This includes documenting detailed test methods and procedures for use by QA and Operations team members. This position is based in Phoenix Arizona; Denver Colorado; or Grand Junction, Colorado and requires local residency in one of these base locations. Our strategic flexibility allows for local work from home opportunities.

Requirements

  • Technical testing experience with SQL, Mongo, APIs, web services, and transaction integration engines.
  • Experience with HL7 messaging standard, XML, JSON, REST.
  • Experience with Postman and Swagger.
  • Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Experience with data analytics and data analytics systems.
  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Proven aptitude for seeking creative solutions to multifaceted problems.
  • Self-motivated, works tasks independently, and collaborates within the Agile team.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment working on simultaneous projects.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant QA technical experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline required.

Nice To Haves

  • Electronic Health Record and Health Information Exchange (HIE) experience desired.
  • Proficiency in clinical workflow, ideally across healthcare providers and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates within an Agile Teams methodology to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and products developed.
  • Writes and executes test cases, plans, and supporting data sets.
  • Creates and maintains standard test procedures and functional test libraries.
  • Identifies test requirements from technical specifications and business use case scenarios
  • Performs research and analysis of the company’s integrated system including 3rd party components.
  • Plan, schedule, estimate, forecast, coordinate, and manage QA deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on the status of testing efforts, defect tracking, and weekly time accounting.
  • Opportunities to coordinate with vendors and project teams to understand system requirements and ensure new products are built to a sustainable testing environment and methodology.
  • Effectively manage through complex technical challenges with clear timely decision making and incisive, creative problem solving.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations in the development and enhancements to QA procedures, tools, and methods.
  • Occasionally required to be available for after-hours work, outside of normally scheduled hours.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
