About The Position

Niche Polymer is seeking a manufacturing-experienced document-control professional to serve as the second member of the Central Function quality team. This role will establish and maintain the controlled information, registers, site packets and implementation evidence needed to operate one consistent ISO 9001:2015 quality management system across current and future sites. The position is both administrative and operational. The successful candidate must understand the manufacturing activities behind the records, obtain accurate inputs from process owners, identify weak or missing evidence, and move work to controlled completion. The position is designed to develop into Quality Manager-level responsibility within one year.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of manufacturing administration or comparable plant-support experience.
• Demonstrated experience controlling procedures, work instructions, forms, registers, records
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 is a plus
• Strong Microsoft software capability and experience including Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
• Ability to communicate with executives, managers, supervisors, technicians and hourly employees across multiple sites and shifts.
• Must be willing and able to travel locally and to company sites in multiple U.S. states. Travel is expected to average approximately 20% and may increase to 35%, with individual trips requiring stays of up to one week at the destination location.

Nice To Haves

• An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and substantial relevant manufacturing experience will be considered.
• Understanding of manufacturing, repackaging or related process-manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Auditor or Lead Auditor training is preferred.
• The selected candidate must complete company-designated ISO 9001 auditor development during the first year.

Responsibilities

• Own the master document register, revision history, approval routing, effective-date control, distribution, obsolete-document removal and record-retention matrix for Corporate QMS documents.
• Assist with maintaining the external controlled-document register for customer specifications, standards, SDS/TDS information
• Build and maintain QMS responsibility/approval matrices, document cross-references and evidence-location indexes.
• Translate approved corporate procedures into practical site foundation packets, local process maps, required forms, training assignments and readiness-milestone evidence
• Review the administrative completeness and traceability of production travelers, batch records
• Coordinate controlled customer, supplier, material, process changes
• Work directly with Production, Quality/Laboratory, Warehouse, Logistics, Maintenance, Purchasing, Sales, HR, Finance and site leadership to obtain accurate inputs and close documentation gaps by approved due dates.
• Assist in maintaining audit schedules, auditor records, checklists, reports, finding logs, CAPA/NCR/RGA action tracking and effectiveness evidence; participate in and progressively lead internal audits.
• Assist in collecting and validating KPI, supplier, customer, risk and action-status data for management review
