About The Position

We are seeking a Senior QA Specialist, Test Automation, to help strengthen the quality, reliability, and release confidence of a digital platform environment. This role is ideal for a quality engineering professional who can design and implement automated testing frameworks, reduce repetitive manual testing, improve test coverage, and collaborate closely with software engineering teams across the full software development life cycle. This is not a traditional QA role. The Senior QA Specialist, Test Automation will act as a technical quality advocate, helping the team build, test, and release software faster, with greater consistency and confidence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in QA Automation, Software Testing, SDET, or Quality Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO, or equivalent.
  • Experience designing, scaling, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for web-based applications or digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end testing, regression testing, functional testing, integration testing, and cross-browser testing.
  • Experience building and maintaining automated test suites to reduce repetitive manual testing and improve release confidence.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
  • Experience with test management, defect tracking, and collaboration tools such as Jira, TestRail, GitHub, Confluence, or equivalent platforms.
  • Ability to work closely with software engineers, product owners, and technical stakeholders in Agile environments.
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and modern product release processes.
  • Ability to identify quality risks, test coverage gaps, and automation opportunities across critical workflows.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Windows/MacOS: In-depth knowledge of operating systems such as Windows or MacOS.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience introducing or scaling automated testing practices in a growing product or platform environment.
  • Experience with BrowserStack or cross-browser testing platforms.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools and practices.
  • Experience with performance, accessibility, or security testing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or another programming language commonly used in test automation.
  • Experience working with distributed or remote engineering teams.
  • Background in digital platforms, advertising technology, creative technology, SaaS, or agency environments is a plus.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, or error tracking tools.
  • Experience defining QA metrics and release quality dashboards.
  • Experience working with product teams to improve acceptance criteria and testability.
  • Knowledge of Dynamic Creative Optimization, digital advertising platforms, or content technology environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web-based digital platforms.
  • Develop and execute end-to-end, regression, functional, and integration test suites using Playwright, BrowserStack, or similar tools.
  • Reduce reliance on repetitive manual testing by identifying automation opportunities across key workflows.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions or comparable deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and technical leads to ensure new features are supported by proper automated test coverage.
  • Establish structured test management, documentation, and reporting practices using tools such as TestRail, Jira, GitHub, or similar platforms.
  • Provide clear visibility into product quality, test results, release readiness, and risk areas.
  • Support the engineering team in defining best practices for testable, reliable, and maintainable software.
  • Contribute to error tracking, defect documentation, root cause analysis, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure production issues are documented, analyzed, and converted into preventive automated test cases when applicable.
  • Act as a quality advocate within Agile teams, promoting a proactive quality engineering mindset across the SDLC.
