About The Position

Altruist is transforming the multi-trillion dollar wealth management industry by building an AI platform for wealth professionals. We partner with financial advisors nationwide, empowering them to grow, optimize time and resources, and deliver superior outcomes for their clients. We're looking for exceptional talent to help us achieve our mission of making financial advice better, more affordable, and accessible to all. If you're passionate about challenging the status quo and want to do the most important work of your life, we'd love to meet you! Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we're excited to hire a Senior QA Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. You will lead exploratory manual testing and automation efforts to help ensure a fast, reliable, and scalable product experience. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who can uncover meaningful defects through thoughtful testing and build durable automation that keeps regression coverage strong as the product evolves. Working closely with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional partners, you will develop testing strategies for both core platform capabilities and AI-powered features to support high-quality feature delivery at scale.

  • Communicates clearly with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, surface risks, and drive alignment
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts to changing priorities, and maintains a high bar for quality under pressure
  • Brings sound judgment and confidence to testing decisions, defect triage, and release readiness recommendations
  • Finds practical, scalable solutions to quality challenges and uses both exploratory thinking and automation to improve outcomes
