About The Position

DEPT® is seeking a Senior QA Engineer for a 3-month fixed-term contract. This role involves leading the design and implementation of test strategies, mentoring junior engineers, and developing automated test frameworks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various testing tools and methodologies, and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle. Requirements

  • Expertise in Cypress and TypeScript, Jmeter, Jest, Postman, SQL/DB, and Jira
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools
  • Proficient in writing and executing complex test cases and test scripts
  • Expertise in end-to-end, API, and performance/load testing
  • Familiarity with source/version control such as Git
  • Familiarity with AWS CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of test strategies and plans
  • Mentor and guide mid-level and junior QA engineers
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Cypress, Jmeter, and Postman
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Drive the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement in QA processes
  • Act as a subject matter expert in software testing and quality assurance
