About The Position

Circadia Health is a growth-stage healthcare AI company focused on preventing hospitalizations and improving senior care operations through its Circadia Intelligence Platform. This platform utilizes contactless sensing for vital sign monitoring, predictive models for adverse event detection, and enterprise integrations to streamline workflows within EHR, care-coordination, billing, and compliance systems. The technology currently serves over 40,000 patients daily across various care networks and is supported by prominent healthcare and AI investors. The company is headquartered in El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in software QA, SDET, or test engineering roles, with ownership of quality for at least one significant production system.
  • Demonstrated experience authoring formal test plans and designing systematic, exhaustive test cases (boundary analysis, equivalence partitioning, risk-based and negative testing).
  • Experience producing detailed test reports and V&V documentation in a medical device, healthcare, or other highly regulated environment (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, or comparable).
  • Strong Python scripting and hands-on automation experience with PyTest or similar frameworks, including API testing and UI automation (Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent).
  • Experience testing integrations with third-party systems that are not controlled by the company.
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort validating data across relational databases and warehouses.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) verification, IEC 62304 software lifecycle documentation, or direct contribution to a 510(k) or CE submission.
  • Experience with healthcare data and integration testing: HL7 v2, FHIR, ADT feeds, EHR vendor systems.
  • Experience in HIPAA / SOC 2 environments and handling PHI in test data.
  • Experience with performance, load, or telemetry-ingestion testing at IoT scale.
  • Significant open source contributions, experience with systems that outlived their tenure, or a high-bar engineering background.

Responsibilities

  • Design and author test plans for new features, releases, and customer deployments, defining scope, prioritization, entry/exit criteria, environments, and data requirements.
  • Develop rigorous and exhaustive test suites covering boundary conditions, failure modes, degraded network behavior, malformed data payloads (HL7 v2, FHIR), timezone and identity edge cases in EHR integrations, and critical alert delivery paths.
  • Produce compliance-grade test reports and verification & validation documentation for the Design History File, regulatory submissions (510(k)), and audits (ISO 13485 / FDA QMSR), including traceability matrices and defect trending.
  • Build and maintain automated regression, API, and UI test suites using Python (PyTest) for FastAPI services and React applications, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Script tooling for test data generation, environment setup, and synthetic device telemetry to expedite thorough testing.
  • Own the release-readiness signal, ensuring a reliable regression suite, effective flaky-test triage, and a clear verdict for every release candidate.
  • Champion testability across the engineering organization by reviewing designs, partnering with engineers on test coverage, and reinforcing quality as a core aspect of the development process.

Benefits

  • Meaningful employee stock options
  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k)
  • Competitive time off with pay policies including vacation, sick days, and company holidays
