We are looking for a forward-thinking QA Automation Engineer who thrives at the intersection of hardware, software, and Artificial Intelligence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a proven transition into deep automation engineering.
  • Expertise in TypeScript: Deep proficiency in writing clean, reusable, and modular code for automation.
  • Advanced experience with Playwright.
  • Extensive experience with Appium 2.0 and WebDriverIO (specifically for native and hybrid mobile apps).
  • Hands-on experience with Xcode and Android Studio/ADB for debugging and profiling.
  • Practical experience using AI tools for code generation, test optimization, or automated bug reporting.
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI for predictive analytics (e.g., identifying high-risk areas of the codebase for targeted testing).
  • Experience testing hardware-integrated systems, firmware updates, or IoT device orchestration.
  • Ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • A data-driven approach to quality, utilizing metrics to improve the automation footprint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between Hardware, Firmware, and Cloud Engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in QA/Test
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BrowserStack or similar cloud-based device farms.
  • Knowledge of video streaming protocols (HLS, WebRTC) for security camera integrations.
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain end-to-end automation suites for web applications using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Architect mobile automation for iOS and Android using WebDriverIO + Appium 2.0.
  • Develop and scale automation for managing large-scale device fleets, focusing on firmware stability and edge-to-cloud connectivity.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, high-quality deployments.
  • Implement AI-driven testing tools (e.g.,Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini) to enhance script maintenance, generate synthetic test data, and enable self-healing test suites.
  • Utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate test case generation and automate the transformation of manual test steps into TypeScript code.
  • Explore AI for visual regression testing to ensure UI consistency across various mobile screen sizes and web browsers.
  • Conduct high-impact manual testing for complex new features, including smoke, sanity, and user-centric acceptance testing.
  • Perform rigorous exploratory testing on physical hardware integrations and mobile-specific hardware triggers (NFC, BLE).
  • Lead the bug life cycle by providing deep-dive technical analysis, logs, and reproducible steps for engineering teams.
  • Determine and define performance and load testing requirements based on product requirements.
