About The Position

Orchid Software Solutions is a fast-growing health-tech group building high-impact software for the assisted reproduction industry. We handle sensitive medical, legal, and financial data across products like Seed Trust (Fintech/Escrow) and Gather (Medical Records). We are currently scaling from 50 to 100 people and tackling significant technical debt by migrating to modern architectures.
At IDRE, we don't just want a tester; we want a Software Engineering Automation Test (SEAT) Engineer. This is a high-impact, hybrid role for someone with a software engineering mindset who is passionate about building robust, automated quality systems.
You will be the first dedicated QA in the IDRE team, responsible for architecting the E2E infrastructure from the ground up and ensuring the reliability of a platform that handles critical healthcare data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation or Software Engineering.
• Expertise in Playwright (highly preferred) or Cypress.
• Strong coding skills in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript. You should feel comfortable navigating a developer’s codebase.
• Advanced proficiency with Postman for API testing and automation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows.
• English Fluency: Excellent communication skills are required for our global technical environment.
• Proactive Mindset: Ability to take ownership as the first QA and build processes where none exist.

Responsibilities

• Architect Automation: Design and implement a scalable End-to-End (E2E) testing framework from scratch using Playwright.
• Infrastructure: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, etc.) to ensure zero-regression deployments.
• Deep-Dive Debugging: Use Browser DevTools and Postman to perform root-cause analysis on complex platform issues.
• Code Collaboration: Work within a Node.js/Next.js environment, reading and understanding application code to ensure maximum test coverage and helping with platform fixes when needed.
• Quality Leadership: Transition the team from manual oversight to a sophisticated, automated quality culture.
