About The Position

As a Senior Consultant at Excella, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions for our commercial and government clients. You will leverage your technical expertise to build cutting-edge applications while working closely with clients and team members in an Agile environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate will be critical to delivering impactful solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience developing web applications with Python.
  • Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Experience in object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, database design, and data modeling.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API development.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs (SQLAlchemy, Django).
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest.
  • Experience working with version control tools like Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a client-facing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with microservices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Familiarity with data engineering tools (Pandas, NumPy, Spark, Airflow).
  • Understanding of secure programming practices and authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS Lambda.
  • Familiarity with GenAI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement software solutions using Python and frameworks like Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Employ Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards for code quality.
  • Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
