About The Position

This is a contract position for a Senior Backend Engineer with extensive experience in Python and FastAPI. The role involves building and supporting production APIs deployed in AWS or GCP. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating with external AI/LLM providers, working with microservices, event-driven architectures, queues, caching strategies, and high-availability systems. Responsibilities also include managing authentication, security, observability, and production support. Exposure to React is considered a significant bonus.

Requirements

• Senior Backend Engineer with heavy Python/FastAPI experience.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Experience building and supporting production APIs deployed in AWS or GCP.
• Experience integrating external AI/LLM providers rather than building ML models.
• Comfortable with microservices, event-driven architectures, queues, caching strategies, and high-availability systems.
• Experience managing authentication, security, observability, and production support.

• React exposure is a significant bonus.
