About The Position
Under limited supervision, independently performs a variety of complex responsibilities related to procuring materials, supplies, services, and equipment for the City in accordance with established policies and procedures; and performs related duties as required.
Requirements
- Associates of Arts Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible purchasing experience in a large, complex organization
- An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
Nice To Haves
- Public sector experience
- A public purchasing certification such as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) issued by a nationally recognized council or agency
