We’re looking for a Senior Purchasing Manager to partner across the network to strengthen our purchasing and demand planning strategy, bringing greater alignment, improving inventory performance, and driving operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in purchasing, demand planning, or supply chain within a distribution or industrial environment
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, including managing buyers, planners, or supervisors
  • Experience operating in a multi-site or regional environment with a focus on standardization and scalability
  • Proven track record of improving inventory performance, service levels, and cost efficiency
  • Experience driving process improvements and implementing standard workflows across teams
  • Strong background working with ERP systems (purchasing, inventory, demand planning modules)
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, sales, and senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Buyers, Supervisors, and Demand Planners
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Establish clear structure, roles, and communication cadence
  • Develop and maintain a forward-looking 2-year roadmap
  • Define and implement standard workflows across purchasing and demand planning
  • Support a network-wide regional purchasing strategy to improve efficiency and scale
  • Drive data-backed improvements in: Inventory replenishment and min/max strategies Pricing and cost optimization Inventory balancing across the network
  • Oversee expediting and excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory management
  • Own inventory performance (inventory days, service levels, working capital)
  • Track key metrics to drive results and accountability
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks, communicating impacts to leadership
  • Lead onboarding and training programs for consistency across the team
  • Maintain strong ERP/system knowledge to identify gaps and improve processes
  • Foster team engagement through regular check-ins and development initiatives
