About The Position
The Senior Psychometrician assists other Psychometricians in providing services to the Program Development Department. This individual acts in a support role within the department, helping to provide expertise in the measurement and design of assessments. The Senior Psychometrician helps to ensure the accuracy and validity of assessments and gathers data that is instrumental to improving students' performance at WGU. The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Grade: Faculty 508 Pay Range: $88,600.00 - $132,900.00
Requirements

- Ability to produce analyses quickly.
- Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and capacity or experience with SAS, R, or other analytical or statistical packages.
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
- Experience retrieving and manipulating data from databases using SQL, R, or Python.
- Doctoral degree in Psychometrics, Psychological Measurement, Educational Psychology, or related field (e.g., Industrial/Organization Psychology) with an emphasis on quantitative methods or psychometrics
- One (1) year of experience in testing, research, or closely related fields such as statistics and data analysis

Responsibilities
- Analyzes data from various types of assessments using a variety of statistical methods.
- Under the guidance of more senior psychometricians, performs statistical analyses required for score reporting and data interpretation.
- Under the guidance of more senior psychometricians, performs data analyses such as item analyses and reliability analyses.
- Under the guidance of more senior psychometricians, creates graphs, charts, tables, and dashboards based on statistical analyses.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
