Senior Proposal Manager
About The Position
The University of Oklahoma's Office of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships is home to one of the most dynamic and growing research enterprises in the nation, driving discovery, fostering innovation, and building partnerships that create real impact across Oklahoma and beyond. The Senior Proposal Manager serves as the proposal management team lead and independently directs the proposal management team in developing the processes, methodologies, and guidelines needed to deliver consistent, high-quality support across the full lifecycle of research grants and contracts. This role oversees end-to-end proposal and award execution, including budget management, policy compliance, project monitoring, and timeline coordination, while also contributing to long-range strategic planning for the Department of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships. The ideal candidate is an experienced research administration professional with strong leadership skills, the ability to scale and standardize complex workflows, and a track record of ensuring resources are applied effectively to meet performance goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline relevant to the area of specialty
- 6 years of related experience
- Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
