About The Position

Haselden Construction is seeking a Senior Proposal Coordinator for its Main Office in Centennial, CO. This role is part of the Business Development Department, which focuses on pursuing new projects and maintaining client relationships. The Senior Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for the tangible production and management of qualifications, proposals, and interviews, working collaboratively to write strategic proposal content. This position involves refining written strategies, researching qualifications, writing persuasive proposal sections, editing content, and proofreading. Additionally, the role supports marketing efforts to promote Haselden Construction as an industry leader and maintain a consistent brand message.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Marketing, Journalism, Communication, English or applicable technical discipline related to the construction industry.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of proposal/technical writing in the A/E/C industry strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of the construction industry.
  • Prior experience as a Proposal or Marketing Coordinator managing proposal development (preferably in the construction industry).
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce or similar.
  • Exceptional interviewing and writing abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work directly with subject matter experts and proposal teams to produce technical content that is persuasive, compelling, and compliant with RFP requirements.
  • Strong persuasive writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and composition.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task, communicate, and stay organized to achieve strict deadlines on multiple proposals/efforts at a time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work well with people at all levels.
  • Self-starter, ability to meet project deadlines and deliverables without constant or direct supervision.
  • A high degree of energy, enthusiasm, tenacity, and creativity.

Nice To Haves

  • Graphic design aptitude: ability to create layouts for proposals, brochures, newsletters, booklets, posters, signs, and other printed materials is highly desired.
  • Flexibility to modify work hours as required in support of the proposal process.
  • Encouraged to submit portfolio or examples of past creative work as an introduction to your personal design aesthetic.

Responsibilities

  • Manage entire proposal schedule and ensure deliverable milestones are met.
  • Oversee the production process from start to finish within tight timeframes for various contract delivery methods (CM/GC, Design/Build).
  • Create interview materials such as slide deck presentations, boards, and leave-behinds.
  • Utilize graphic communication skills to develop proposals, posters, updates, and other marketing content.
  • Analyze RFQ/P requirements, refine written strategies, and incorporate win themes into RFP/Q responses.
  • Develop and execute proposal work plans for project pursuits.
  • Write succinct, superior content within deadlines, addressing specific project and client needs.
  • Identify and modify existing Haselden content to meet proposal requirements.
  • Perform content editing, identify gaps and proposal weaknesses, and work with stakeholders to refine content.
  • Incorporate feedback from review teams and assist with quality control of final proposals.
  • Manage CRM / marketing database (Salesforce or similar).
  • Prepare marketing materials for the Business Development team and for trade shows.
  • Manage final photography and photo archiving for projects.
  • Provide relevant market sector research to facilitate marketing and proposal content development.
  • Educate and mentor Project Coordinators on the proposal generation process and demonstrate expected proposal quality.
