About The Position

F&F Property Management is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily communities throughout San Diego County. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, resident satisfaction, occupancy, team performance, and financial results across multiple properties. The Senior Property Manager serves as a key leader within the organization, partnering closely with property teams, maintenance, accounting, sales and marketing, and executive leadership to ensure communities operate efficiently while delivering an exceptional resident experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced property management professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with accountability, communicates effectively, and is committed to achieving strong operational and financial performance.

  • Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations, resident relations, budgeting, and property operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience managing multiple communities strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AppFolio is strongly preferred.
  • Professional industry designations such as CAM, CAPS, ARM, CPM, RAM, or MPM are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of multifamily communities, ensuring compliance with company policies, Fair Housing requirements, ADA regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards for safety, curb appeal, maintenance, and overall property condition.
  • Maintain accurate property records, lease documentation, notices, and resident files.
  • Ensure all operational procedures are followed consistently and that communities maintain compliance with established company standards.
  • Drive portfolio financial performance through effective management of rent collections, delinquency reduction, expense control, and budget adherence.
  • Review and approve invoices, monitor property expenses, and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure security deposit dispositions, resident account reconciliations, and financial reporting are completed accurately and timely.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve NOI and overall property performance.
  • Monitor occupancy, renewal activity, and delinquency trends to support portfolio goals.
  • Partner closely with Maintenance leadership to ensure service requests, apartment turns, preventative maintenance programs, inspections, and capital projects are completed effectively and on schedule.
  • Monitor property conditions and maintenance performance to ensure communities remain safe, attractive, and well-maintained.
  • Conduct routine property walks and identify opportunities to improve curb appeal, resident satisfaction, and asset preservation.
  • Support capital improvement initiatives and vendor management activities.
  • Promote a high standard of customer service and resident satisfaction across the portfolio.
  • Address escalated resident concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure resident communications, notices, and policy enforcement are handled consistently and professionally.
  • Support resident retention initiatives, reputation management efforts, and community engagement programs.
  • Monitor online reputation and resident feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide leadership, direction, accountability, and support for Property Managers, Leasing Consultants, and support staff.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
  • Maintain and reinforce established expectations for customer service, communication, compliance, professionalism, and operational execution.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support succession planning and employee development efforts throughout the portfolio.
