About The Position
CORY is hiring a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Property Accountant in San Antonio, TX. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, real estate firm that is consistently growing its footprint nationally. Our client is a 3rd party, fee-managed firm, focused on conventional, market-rate and affordable multifamily housing and dedicated to building a best-in-class portfolio.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of accounting experience, specifically in multifamily as a senior or manager
- Comfortable reconciling property management financials against bank activity
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously
- Self-sufficient and comfortable working on a lean team
- Clear communicator who can present financial information directly to ownership
Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of 4-5 accountants, providing consistent leadership and guidance
- Review and approve monthly financial statements
- Confirm rental income and expenses match actual bank activity across all properties
- Monitor cash flow across bank accounts and ensure funds are moving where they should
- Ensure mortgage payments, insurance, and property taxes are paid accurately and on time
- Prepare financial reports for monthly P&L review meetings with leadership
