About The Position

As a Sr. Superintendent for Kiewit Building Group, you will lead and supervise all aspects of advanced technologies projects and industrial EPC construction projects. You will perform daily inspections of work for Safety, Quality and Productivity with our subcontract and trade partners for Industrial Buildings. You will assure proper planning and communication is happening for all operations that you oversee, identify and solve problems that arise, and establish budgetary guidelines for the job, ensuring cost control measures are followed. You will provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel, establish quality standards, and ensure quality assurance and company standards are met. You will also develop and manage job schedules (e.g. three-week, 90-day, man loading), and coordinate work with other crafts, departments, contractors, and suppliers. Requirements

  • Ability to travel and relocate as needed
  • 15+ years’ work experience in the construction industry, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role
  • Previous knowledge/experience in vertical building setting required, and experience working as the General Contractor overseeing subs and trade partners is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements and jurisdictional issues, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance

Responsibilities

  • Lead direction of craft personnel via internal or external general foreman, managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality and schedule adherence
  • Act as liaison between field engineering and project craft to ensure compliance of construction drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate and interface effectively with other superintendents and subcontractors, as well as Kiewit staff personnel and leadership to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence
  • Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate
  • Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
  • Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company’s non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies
