About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to support a large client in Philadelphia, PA, focusing on capital and infrastructure projects. This role involves leading scheduling efforts for major capital projects, providing vision, leadership, and direction to achieve client milestones. The Senior Scheduler will oversee two junior schedulers and serve as the primary contact for schedule-related matters with clients, contractors, and project teams. Responsibilities extend beyond schedule development to actively driving project outcomes by scrutinizing contractor schedules, identifying risks and opportunities, challenging assumptions, and ensuring schedule data is accurate, timely, and actionable. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces ownership, and is confident influencing teams and leadership. Strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to drive performance toward critical milestone achievement are essential.

Requirements

  • 10 + years of project scheduling experience in construction
  • Proficient in MSP project schedule, Project Online, Power Project
  • Specialized skills and proficiency with project/program controls software and web-based program management systems
  • Proficient in P6 and MS Project
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several assignments
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skill
  • Experience in project schedules related to capital projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Sound judgment
  • Ability to drive performance toward critical milestone achievement

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline and/or professional certification (PMP, PSP, PMI-SP, AACE, RICS, etc.)
  • Pharmaceutical projects experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Independently review, analyze and report on baseline schedules submitted by contractors
  • Independently review and analyze monthly schedule updates and complete reporting requirements
  • Coordinate review of the project schedule updates with the appropriate staff
  • Review and analyze contractors submitted Time Impact (Entitlement) Analysis, report on findings and assist the client in the negotiation of time extensions
  • Follow appropriate internal control safeguards to ensure consistent reporting of accurate information
  • Provide vision, leadership, and direction to ensure successful achievement of key client milestones
  • Oversee two junior schedulers
  • Act as the primary point of contact for schedule-related matters with the client, contractors, and project teams
  • Scrutinize contractor schedules, identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions, and ensure schedule data is accurate, timely, and actionable
  • Proactively engage Arcadis Team Leadership
  • Lead schedule reviews
  • Facilitate recovery planning when required
