This position is responsible for detailed analysis of the master program schedule, including status, performance, network logic, and critical path. The role involves creating and tracking plans and schedules, performing risk analysis, and identifying and resolving critical path and network logic conflicts. The Senior Project Scheduler will perform Critical Path Analysis, Schedule Risk Analysis, and Schedule Metric Analysis. They will develop integrated master schedules using IMP, SOW, and WBS, as well as in an agile environment. This role drives IMS and team engagement during customer IBR and internal reviews. The position manages complex projects or processes with general oversight, provides support for guidance, coaching, and training to other employees, and communicates within and outside of their function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures. The role involves making/recommending substantial improvements to systems and processes and contributing to the achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on departmental results. Regular analysis of program schedules is required to evaluate program and enterprise-wide resource needs through the integration of all program schedules, including metrics on schedule status, critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis, network logic validation, and program baseline maintenance, including support of Earned Value Management performance metrics. The Senior Project Scheduler will utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management, and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. They will prepare, develop, and coordinate integrated master plans and integrated master schedules (IMP/IMS) using MS Project, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ensuring projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality is crucial. Compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines is required. The work involves making significant improvements to processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of the job area and providing measurable input of new products, processes, or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall functional results. Communication within and outside of the function or business area is expected, with responsibility for communicating with external parties when necessary. The role involves explaining, interpreting, and gaining cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices. Extensive investigation is required to understand the root cause of problems that span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the function and/or business area. The Senior Project Scheduler will attend and lead scheduling status reviews and conduct briefings with senior leaders, requiring the ability to communicate matters of importance. The role involves influencing others to accept views or practices and changes to concepts, practices, and approaches. Participation in schedule training, engineering, and program excellence organizations is expected. The role works to achieve operational targets within the job area with some impact on department results.
