Senior Project Manager (Remote)
About The Position
GovCIO is currently hiring for Senior Project Manager to lead a large, geographically dispersed team in program management, data, and reporting activities at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This support will focus on advising team members and government stakeholders into the best processes and methodologies to execution on government taskings, data analytics, case management, strategic planning and varied other programmatic needs. This position will be a fully remote position. Please note: The contract has not been awarded; this position remains unfunded and is contingent upon the award of the contract.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (or commensurate experience)
- 12+ years of experience work in dynamic customer delivery environments (2 years of experience may be removed for a masters degree)
- Direct experience in a Law enforcement specific environment
- Experience working with ICE specific data and processes
- Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required)

Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment of processes and practices to streamline reporting and data needs across all ICE Areas of Responsibility (AORs)
- Provide thought leadership on paths for innovation and automation for project team deliverables as well as field communication with HQ
- Provide guidance to individual delivery team personnel executing on both daily/weekly requirements as well as ad-hoc quick turnaround tasks
- Lead customer engagement to discuss needs, issues, and challenges faced by the clients and pathways to resolution
- Lead support to cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Review project deliverables, including artifacts to ensure adherence to team compliance and quality standards.
- Develop, gather and disseminate information and documentation among both business and technical customers in support of the overall program.
- Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.
- Work with all team members to analyze changes in requirements and recommend the most expedient solutions in a timely manner.
- Leverage advanced writing skills to translate complicated issues from multiple information sources into a clear point of view to create a compelling, concise, and well-written narrative.
- Leverage excellent presentation development skills to prepare meeting agendas and synthesize complex information into succinct visualizations using tools such as PowerPoint.
