About The Position

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for scheduling, work coordination, and managing all on-site construction activities. This role provides direction and management for every phase of a project to ensure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. The position also involves training, coaching, and overseeing the work of other Project Managers, developing standard operating procedures for them, and acting as the Company representative with clients and selected suppliers during project execution. The Senior Project Manager will also assist business development in understanding client issues to secure new work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with Industrial Project Management
• Must be familiar with AISC and OSHA requirements
• Must be detail oriented
• Must have excellent oral/written communication skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Plans and defines project goals and devises methods to accomplish them
• Develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies
• Responsible for all scheduling and work coordination between shop and erector, and manage all on site work activities
• Prepare and maintain a detailed schedule for submittal approvals, buy outs, and erection
• Responsible for managing and tracking all payments, change orders, and back charges
• Responsible for training, coaching and overseeing the work of Project Managers
• Develop standard operating procedure for Project Managers
• Responsible for all issues involving erection
• Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all program or project activity, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or
• Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected suppliers during the project execution
• Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client
• Assists business development in understanding client issues and business plans in order to market and secure new/additional work
• Manage Field Reports, monitor the Earned Values per Project, and perform site visits
