About The Position

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Sacramento, California. The role is the senior on-site company representative responsible for managing all administrative and technical requirements. The Senior Project Manager supervises Project Managers’ work related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial setup and updates, and scheduling to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability, safety, and timeliness. The position maintains a strong focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations, growing business with current customers by delivering on commitments, and proactively developing new business by promoting the company’s construction services.

Requirements

Experience leading commercial construction projects of $50 million or greater.
DSA experience.
Experience with design-build and progressive design-build.
Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Fifteen or more years of experience in commercial construction project management.
Seven years of direct supervisory experience.
Experience with project management software such as Constructware, P6, or Timberline.
Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, and labor reports.
Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction applications.

Responsibilities

Coordinate preconstruction activities.
Manage project scheduling.
Oversee project administration, operations, and close-out.
Promote customer and community relations.
Foster a positive culture, leadership, and employee development.
Supervise Project Managers’ activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financial setup and updates, and scheduling.
