The Senior Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day leadership, management, and delivery of assigned projects, with primary focus on scope, schedule, and budget. The role coordinates administrative and technical project efforts, prepares strategic plans, serves as the primary client liaison, and reports regularly to the Managing Director. Senior Project Managers handle the most complex and largest projects, estimate scope and fees, prepare proposals and contracts, and oversee less experienced project managers. They may serve as Project Director overseeing other Project Managers, or as Principal in Charge on assigned projects. A professional architecture degree and ten or more years of experience are specified for the senior role, including five or more years as a Project Manager; professional registration is preferred but not required. The role spans project definition, planning, execution, financial management, and closeout. It includes setting project scope, budget, and schedule; identifying staffing and resources; maintaining project plans and documentation; coordinating clients, consultants, and project teams; monitoring project quality and performance; managing invoicing and financial projections; and conducting project closeout and lessons-learned reviews. The Senior Project Manager also supports business development, proposals, client relationships, and coordination with market sector leaders. The position operates in a professional office environment and may require work at construction sites. Travel to work sites and other offices may be required. Overtime and availability for client issues and communications after hours are expected. Job-site work may involve exposure to fumes or airborne particles, vibration, extreme conditions, and loud noise.
