Corrpro Canada is a technology-enabled Cathodic Protection services company that provides construction, inspection, engineering, materials management and custom software and hardware to deliver innovative and data-driven corrosion management solutions. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who will oversees a portfolio of projects and ensure the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects ensuring alignment with business goals, budgets, and timelines. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder communication, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Engineering or other related field, or Diploma from a Technical Institute will be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years related cathodic protection experience.
  • Professional standing with APEGA or ASET is required.
  • AMPP Level 3 Cathodic Protection Technologist certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • AMPP certification as Senior Corrosion Technologist, Cathodic Protection Specialist or Corrosion Specialist, preferred.
  • PMI certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to define the project requirements.
  • Document project requirements and share with all stakeholders to gain agreement and develop plan for management of the project scope.
  • Monitor and control project progress to ensure all project requirements are met in accordance with the project contract.
  • Identify and document changes to the scope of work and submit change requests to external stakeholders for acceptance/approval.
  • Identify and document work defects and work with functional resources to develop corrective actions.
  • Work with the functional groups and Operations Manager to identify and document the business impact of defects and corrective actions.
  • Confirm completion of the project scope with internal stakeholders and formal acceptance of the project deliverables with external stakeholders.
  • Identify external stakeholder schedule requirements regarding start and/or completion dates.
  • Work with internal functional stakeholders to develop and execute a project schedule that meets the customer’s schedule requirements.
  • Monitor the status of the project to update the project schedule and manage changes to the schedule baseline.
  • Communicate schedule changes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and document corrective actions that may be needed to realign the project to the schedule baseline or define a new baseline.
  • Work with the functional groups and Operations Manager to identify and document the business impact of changes to the schedule baseline.
  • Validate the project budget.
  • Communicate the project budget to internal functional groups as needed.
  • Monitor the status of the project to update the project costs and manage changes to the cost baseline.
  • Provide project financial updates to the branch Operations Manager no less than once per month. The primary method of update is the month-end Revenue Recognition process
  • Identify and document changes to the budget and submit change requests to external stakeholders for acceptance/approval.
  • Validate resources needed for completion of the work and identify resource changes since the time of proposal.
  • Work with functional groups to identify and schedule personnel for performance of the work.
  • Work with the project team to ensure alignment with the project objectives.
  • Use interpersonal and team skills to manage conflict, motivate employees and improve overall project performance.
  • Work with the functional resources’ supervisors/managers to address conflicts with an outcome that is beneficial to the individual employee, project team, functional group, and business unit.
  • Serve as the primary communication channel between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Delegate external communication to internal resources where such delegation is likely to result in improved clarity and speed of response.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regularly as needed by the requirements of the project.
  • Identify and document changes to the project and work with the functional groups and Operations Manager to align the project with business unit objectives.
  • Review risks identified at time of proposal by the Estimating team and functional groups and identify and document risk changes since the time of proposal.
  • Work with the Legal and Financial teams to identify and document risks associated with the customer and/or project.
  • Develop appropriate risk responses to minimize individual threats, maximize individual opportunities, and reduce overall project risk exposure.
  • Work with the Operations Manager and functional groups to implement risk response strategies.
  • Validate that identified materials will meet project requirements.
  • Submit material orders to the Procurement group with direction regarding project requirements.
  • Monitor material procurement status.
  • Validate that identified subcontractors will meet project requirements.
  • Manage subcontracts including submission of subcontractor purchase order requests to Procurement, receiving and approving subcontractor invoices, and validating performance of the subcontractor.
