About The Position

Cumming Group is hiring a Senior Project Manager in Los Angeles, California, to support a justice/judicial project. Acting as an Owner’s Representative, the Senior Project Manager will manage budget, schedule, and quality. The role is part of the public works team, which serves municipality, county, state, and public education clients nationwide. The position works with project, program, and client leadership to deliver public facilities that positively impact the communities they serve.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related field.
10 or more years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction management.

Nice To Haves

Certification such as CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, or LEED.
Prior experience with public contracting code.
Prior experience with jails, courthouses, or justice projects.
Experience with lease-leaseback and/or P3 project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

Lead a project team for a large project, multiple projects, or an entire program.
Define the technical scope of projects.
Promote repeat business and develop favorable client references through effective coordination, administration, and communication of project tasks.
Review cost estimates.
Manage project-level conflict resolution.
Maintain monthly project budgets, including current and forecasted expenditures.
Facilitate and maintain client communications and provide monthly, weekly, or daily reports.
Achieve client objectives by successfully managing the client’s project, goals, and objectives.
Attend work during normal business hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.
