About The Position

We need a Senior Project Manager who can quickly develop into a Principal and practice leader. We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual who has gained valuable technical and practice management skills and knows they can do more. This is an opportunity to build and lead a practice with significant team and company support. While marketing and development of an independent portfolio of clients is desirable, our immediate need is to support several internal water treatment plant design project opportunities. The successful candidate will excel in engineering and project management, as well as marketing, and mentoring. The position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a demonstrated track record of success to establish an independent practice while receiving mentoring and support from a highly capable team. The ideal candidate must enjoy solving problems for clients while making the client’s life and job easier. It’s critical that the professionals in this position have a proven record of successful projects involving all aspects of water and wastewater systems as demonstrated by happy, loyal clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Masters degree preferred
  • 15+ years of related experience in water/wastewater projects in a design/engineering consulting environment
  • PE Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise multiple projects to ensure they meet commitments related to time, quality, and communication.
  • Work directly with clients to establish project schedules and set expectations.
  • Demonstrated success and expertise in water treatment design is critical to this position. Also display solid understanding of the principles related to water and wastewater utility engineering. This can include wells, pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks, and treatment systems.
  • Proven track record as a problem solver in a client facing role.
  • Serve as a project manager lead; provide and enhance client relationships.
  • With significant support from existing teams, recruit, lead, and direct staff and sub-consultants in the execution of specific projects to meet schedules and timely completion of projects.
