About The Position

This role leads project teams from planning through implementation on highly complex projects that span the enterprise, which can include multiple projects within a program, resulting in projects that are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed scope.

Requirements

7 or more years of project management experience
Project Management Software skills (MS Project, MS Planner, MS ADO)
Strong knowledge of implementation methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
Certified PMP: Project Management Professional - PMI: Project Management Institute
Demonstrated experience applying Change Management principles/methodologies

Responsibilities

Lead the project to agreement on project scope and deliverables; understand the differences between what is requested and what is needed
Lead the project team in developing a comprehensive project plan which is in alignment with the project scope and deliverables; ensure all project stakeholders have input into the planning process
Identify the people and business units that could impact or be impacted by the project; understand when to engage key stakeholders in project decisions
Develop a communication plan for the project; ensure stakeholders' communication needs are addressed; communicate project status directly to senior leadership
Advise project managers and project sponsors on how to determine people resources and the makeup of the project team
Provide guidance and coaching to team members; serve as a resource
Drive cross-functional collaboration with Wegmans business partners, leaders and vendors at all levels to ensure alignment between business objectives and project deliverables
Establish trust in order to advise senior leadership during the early formation of the project prior to formal project approval
Identify the level of acceptable quality for each project deliverable and ensure quality levels are met for each project deliverable
Ensure balance exists between scope, time and budget; identify issues and risks quickly, and develop mitigation plans and contingencies
