About The Position

The Senior Project Manager – Office is responsible for the planning, safety, execution, and financial management of low voltage construction projects with a cumulative yearly dollar value over $7MM. This role provides overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of simultaneous complex cabling projects within various verticals. The Senior Project Manager will work with the Operations Team and Safety Manager to ensure appropriate PPE and Safety are provided. They will be able to profitably manage large-scale construction projects while consistently maintaining revenue of $7MM with strong margins. This role involves the management and development of OPM I and OPM II, directing and supervising project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for enforcing project reporting requirements, serving as an escalation point regarding critical project issues, and assuming overall accountability for jobsite safety and quality. They will provide technical expertise to the field team and project managers, forecast and track labor costs to maximize productivity and costs, and invoice projects quickly to maximize cash flow. Utilizing technology and project dashboards to track project milestones, timelines, and profitability is key. The role includes approving and signing all material invoices and technician timesheets, generating and submitting change order pricing for items outside the approved original scope of work up to $500k, and performing on-site inspections of local work locations at the start, midpoint, and completion of projects. Providing required documentation, including ‘as-built’ drawings, cable certification reports, and applicable warranties, as well as developing new subcontractor relationships and strengthening existing ones, are also core responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equitable years’ experience and industry certifications
  • 10 years’ in construction project management including 5 years’ managing large scale construction projects
  • Mastry of project methodology and process
  • Create and manage annual goals of direct reports, supporting bi-annual reviews and opportunities to coach for success
  • Proven success mentoring and managing junior talent to support their growth and project
  • Proven success managing complex projects with strong project margins
  • Strong MS office skills
  • Proficiency with current technologies and low voltage products
  • Industry and Manufacturer’s Certification
  • Experience creating change orders up to $500k
