About The Position

Our client is a performance marketing agency specializing in mission-driven organizations across higher education and nonprofit sectors. They combine sharp strategy, creative excellence, and data-driven execution to help universities and organizations achieve measurable growth — enrollments, applications, inquiries, and awareness. In this role, you'll own project planning, process, and delivery across the agency — guiding client work from conception to completion, on time and within budget, across every service line.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with a track record well beyond standard PM execution
  • 5+ years in an agency setting, ideally across multiple service lines (Creative, Web, Paid Media, SEO)
  • Demonstrated experience building or overhauling PM systems and processes — not just operating within an existing one
  • Strong financial acumen, comfortable analyzing budgets, margins, and project profitability alongside a finance team
  • Experience with resource and capacity management across multiple concurrent projects
  • A clear point of view on how project work should be run, with the confidence to advocate for it
  • Asana experience required
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and AI tools for productivity
  • Experience with cloud-based hosting platforms and version control tools
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing PM systems specifically for higher education, nonprofit, or healthcare clients
  • Prior experience formally training teams on PM methodology
  • Experience presenting financial or project performance data directly to leadership
  • Background that spans both the PM and finance/ops side of an agency

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate multiple concurrent projects to ensure they're completed on time and within budget
  • Build, document, and continuously improve project management systems and processes across Creative, Web, Paid Media, SEO, and more
  • Own project budgets and partner directly with the finance team to analyze project and client profitability
  • Own resource and capacity planning across multiple concurrent projects and teams, identifying staffing gaps or bottlenecks before they become delivery risks
  • Work with proposal teams to develop cost estimates and project plans aligned to client needs and internal capacity
  • Train teams on processes and drive adoption
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring smooth handoffs and keeping project teams focused on the end goal
  • Communicate project status clearly and proactively to stakeholders
  • Stay closely aware of company goals and strategy, bringing forward recommendations that connect project execution to agency-level outcomes
