Solid Waste - Senior Project Manager
About The Position
As a Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager in the Waste Management Practice at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will work from the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office and manage project teams delivering engineering work for solid waste projects. Work includes airspace and earthwork volume calculations; technical report preparation and review; stormwater, leachate collection, and landfill gas collection system design; geotechnical analyses; and preparation of landfill grading plans, project details, and specifications. You will develop proposals, project budgets, and schedules, manage engineering staff, and perform quality control. You will work with clients, contractors, and local and state government officials across projects from conceptual and design phases through regulatory review, bidding, and construction. You will partner with management to mentor staff and support their professional development, including annual reviews and development goals. Senior management will also work with you on an individualized career path through professional development and mentoring in project management, leadership, and business development. Requirements
- 15 or more years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience with technical software and civil engineering technology, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software.
- Established clients or contacts in solid waste client sectors.
- Experience scoping services and developing proposal budgets, with demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
- Participation in client- and professional-development-based organizations.
- Professional speaking and writing skills, including experience communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials.
- Experience coordinating the regulatory agency review process.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineering license (P.E.), with registration in Oklahoma or ability to obtain registration.
