About The Position

South Geeks is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join an established team supporting the accounting department of a major US on-demand logistics and food delivery platform. This role involves handling reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting at significant scale. The Senior Project Manager will own end-to-end delivery planning and execution on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, while also being hands-on with the data, tickets, and details. This position offers executive-level visibility and the opportunity to make a real impact on the accounting function's operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience leading complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • 5+ years working in agile environments on projects or portfolios.
  • Strong hands-on fluency with Jira (required) and other PM tooling.
  • Proficiency in project planning, risk management, and change control.
  • Excellent executive-level stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to motivate, drive, and inspire delivery teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
  • Professional English proficiency (written and verbal).
  • Must be based in Brazil with the ability to align with US Pacific business hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic SQL skills and familiarity with accounting concepts are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic, tactical, and operational planning across large-scale projects — tasks, deliverables, dependencies, resources.
  • Create, execute, and communicate project plans covering scope, schedule, staffing, quality, risk, budget, and procurement.
  • Mitigate risks, resolve issues, close resource gaps, and keep initiatives aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Establish intake, grooming, assignment, and management processes for engineering tasks and tickets.
  • Review project financials, monitor variances, and manage change controls.
  • Facilitate team meetings, workshops, and stakeholder reviews; produce clear notes and follow-ups.
  • Define and continuously improve PM processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems and techniques.
