About The Position

The Senior Project Manager provides oversight of construction-related activities for contracts, serving as the designated leader for construction projects and holding overall responsibility for construction efforts at a large project site. Operating under limited supervision and general direction, this role independently applies advanced techniques to complex assignments while supporting the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) by performing the full range of project management tasks. The senior project manager delivers day-to-day management of construction and service projects, including coordination with customers, schedule review, and design review, and develops solutions to construction problems or field conditions as they arise. This position also reviews contractor submittmits for contract conformance, drafts technical responses to change orders, and prepares statements of work and cost estimates for new contracts and contract modifications. Additionally, the senior project manager aids the contracting officer and COR throughout the acquisition process, including answering offeror questions and participating in site orientation visits and joint contractor/government meetings.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.
  • Minimum of 20 years' project management work experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
  • Project management experience on projects over $50M.
  • Must be a U.S Citizen.
  • Has undergone a minimum of a Tier 1 Public Trust 1 background investigation or higher within the last 5 years.
  • Will be required to undergo a DHS Suitability assessment.

  • Draft technical responses to any change orders.
  • Prepare statement of work and cost estimate for new contracts and contract modifications.
