About The Position

OHM Advisors is seeking a Site Design Project Manager to lead civil engineering design for new construction and redevelopment projects serving private-sector clients in residential, commercial, and industrial markets. The role works closely with Principals and production staff to develop scopes of services aligned with client needs and guide technical design from concept through construction. It supports high-quality deliverables, strong client relationships, and solutions that advance communities. The position manages multiple site design and site development projects, overseeing technical work, scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables. It serves as the primary client contact, guides feasibility evaluations, and oversees civil site design and construction-phase services. The project manager also leads quality reviews, collaborates across disciplines, supports business development, and mentors site design staff. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
15–20 years of progressive site design or land development experience, including private development projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Experience managing project teams, client relationships, budgets, and schedules.
Strong technical knowledge of grading, stormwater management, utilities, and construction documents.
Knowledge of development regulations, permitting processes, and accessibility standards.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience preparing proposals and supporting business development.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple site design projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Review work by site design engineers, designers, and technicians for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to best practices.
Identify and resolve technical challenges during design.
Manage site development project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables.
Serve as the primary client contact, build client relationships, and communicate project progress.
Guide site feasibility evaluations and address design, infrastructure, and permitting challenges.
Oversee civil site design, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and site access.
Lead QA/QC reviews to ensure project deliverables are accurate, complete, and coordinated.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Develop proposals and support business development for private development opportunities.
Oversee construction-phase services, including site visits, submittal reviews, and responses to RFIs.
Guide site design staff and support their professional growth and the quality of their work.
Provide site design leadership across project phases, including design and technical construction documentation.
Work with discipline leadership to staff projects and monitor utilization levels.
Collaborate with Principals and geographic leadership to manage, mentor, and guide team members.
Collaborate with other discipline leaders to develop best practices and advance the Site Design practice.
