About The Position

Copeland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management professional looking for an opportunity to grow. Based in Cudahy, WI, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of Engineer to Order (ETO) projects and other project types while creating an exceptional customer buying experience. This role involves managing challenging client engagements across multiple accounts and collaborating closely with various departments including sales, application engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, planning, purchasing, production, finance, logistics, and field services for the successful delivery of client projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a technical field (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or PMP Certification.
  • 7+ years of professional work experience.
  • 4+ years of Project Management experience in a manufacturing organization, preferably HVAC industry.
  • Experience managing project team sizes of 10+ or more.
  • Experience managing mid-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and matrix partners.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets up to $750,000 and project timelines that typically span up to 12 months to completion.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Project Management software packages, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office Suite products.
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to concurrently manage multiple projects & priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing without formal authority.
  • Requires a valid passport and US Driver’s License.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Refrigeration industry experience or oil & gas industry experience.
  • Experience in project management, statistical and business analysis, and people management in a manufacturing organization.
  • Training and significant practical experience in Lean/Six-Sigma tools and a variety of project management methodologies.
  • Outstanding relationship management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated example of taking initiative with a solid work ethic.
  • Exceptional communication skills, well developed listening skills, and ability to interpret business and/or client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling complex Refrigeration, Gas Compression and other strategic projects.
  • Ensuring accountability across the organization to deliver to our customers’ expectations by clearly communicating the critical path to meet customer expectations to all functional areas.
  • Managing changes to the project scope, schedule, resources and costs.
  • Performing risk management to minimize project risks and resolving critical problems as they arise.
  • Building, developing, growing and maintaining customer, vendor and other business relationships vital to the success of the project and Vilter.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and communicating with customers and colleagues.
  • Maintaining and improving project, program and portfolio management processes and tools as necessary to drive the development process.
  • Tracking industry trends, relevant legislation and competitor activities at a high level.
  • Coaching, mentoring, motivating and positively influencing project team members.
