About The Position

Valtech is seeking an innovative Senior Project Manager to join their team. This role involves serving as a servant leader, guiding teams through the refinement, planning, and delivery of scope for Enterprise solutions. The Senior Project Manager will focus on facilitating the successful delivery of solutions that meet the needs of both authors and end-users. This involves close collaboration with client stakeholders, business users, and cross-functional delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle to gather requirements, document solutions, and drive solution design in partnership with product ownership, UX design, and technical leadership. The role manages projects in partnership with client product ownership.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in a delivery lead role within a software development Agile environment, product experience is a plus.
Hands on experience with Cloud Platforms and API integration.
5+ years of consulting experience.
Experience leading global Agile team of 10+ developers and designers to develop the client’s prioritized features with product owner responsibility of feature sign-off and approval.
Demonstrated success in iterative release of software systems.
Experience managing project budgets of $8 million+.
Deep understanding of empirical data needed for stakeholder reporting and team measurement.
Proven ability to manage budget, forecast, margin and utilization of project team in a Fixed Fee setting.
Experience working with Rally/Jira or a similar project management software.
The ability to collaborate with a team in the UK with overlapping working hours between 8 AM - 12 PM EST.

Nice To Haves

Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Certification or project experience in Content management / commerce systems.
Knowledge of traditional SDLC.
Prior experience in the Financial Services industry.
Proven ability to bring transparency to the business team about development; growing trust while demonstrating your commitment to deliverables to the business team.
Experience with identifying delivery issues and risks, and a sense of urgency for removing blocks and driving continuous improvement.
PMP & CSM or other Agile certifications.

Responsibilities

Driving system demonstrations and training to client business users.
Facilitating all necessary team meetings (sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews/retrospectives, etc.).
Facilitating Agile release planning and helping the PO manage the release backlog.
Coaching the team in Agile relative estimation techniques, cross-functionality and self-organization.
Identifying, managing, and mitigating project issues and risks.
Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to defining and prioritizing the product backlog.
Ensuring transparency into the team’s work through the Sprint Backlog, Burndown Chart and other Agile metrics.
Leading by example - knowing when, and how, to push for more results.
Proactively identifying and removing impediments that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver Sprint commitments.
Being the coach and all around advocate for Agile delivery methodology amongst project team and client stakeholders.
Influencing software development lifecycles (plan, design, development, testing, and deployment) and work with both the business and technology teams.
Facilitating necessary team meetings including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews & Retrospectives, along with ensuring effective backlog refinement.
Conducting business analysis and translating business requirements to customer experience and development needs.
Building roadmaps and advising clients on future strategies and execution.
Providing recommendations catered to client industries and their customers.
