Senior Project Manager

DNA&STONESeattle, WA
$105,000 - $134,000Hybrid

About The Position

DNA&STONE is a newly merged agency formed in January 2025, combining the experience of DNA with the creativity of Little Hands of Stone. The agency's core approach is Radical Empathy, focusing on deep emotional intelligence to create impactful work. As a startup culture with a proven foundation, DNA&STONE offers a pivotal moment for the right candidate to shape the agency's future by bringing operational maturity to creative momentum. The Project Management department is the backbone of the agency, translating creative ideas into clear plans, realistic timelines, and accountable teams. They partner across all functions to deliver exceptional results, bringing order and structure without rigidity or bureaucracy, and momentum without burnout. The department believes in using the right process for the right moment, adapted with discipline.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of project management experience, preferably at a creative agency, with a proven track record of integrated initiatives across multiple clients—including new business pitches.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles, methods, and techniques, and the judgment to know when to apply which.
  • Experience managing other project managers, with the leadership and emotional intelligence to make a team better.
  • Comfortable with multiple workstreams and clients in motion at once—you keep the plates spinning without dropping the standards.
  • Fluent in PM tools such as Workamajig, Google Workspace, Slack, Smartsheet, and ability to tailor them to different project approaches.
  • Strong financial instincts—budgets, burn, scope changes, and revenue projections are second nature, not an afterthought.
  • You are a natural problem-solver who gets excited — not intimidated — when things get complicated.
  • You are highly organized and detail-oriented, and take pride in not letting things fall through the cracks.
  • You build strong relationships quickly and know how to communicate with a wide range of people.
  • You have a good sense of collaboration and will do what it takes to make great work.

Responsibilities

  • Own the project end-to-end—plan development, scopes, schedules, estimates (informed by department leads), documentation, and on-time, on-budget, on-quality delivery.
  • Set projects up to win by tailoring tools to each team’s needs and keeping them organized, current, and useful.
  • Facilitate the work—run kickoffs, status, reviews, and retros; clear blockers before they slow the team; foster cross-functional collaboration with leadership and emotional intelligence.
  • Manage the money—own burn reports, support invoicing and revenue projections, and hold financial accountability against business goals.
  • Lead active risk and change management alongside Business Leadership. Surface issues early, decide quickly whether to avoid, mitigate, or accept, and keep the team moving.
  • Feed the resourcing engine—report project status and resource needs into weekly and long-term resourcing workflows, and negotiate resource conflicts toward win-win outcomes.
  • Maintain the documentation that matters—scope docs, schedules, status reports, change requests, and recaps, to name a few.
  • Support agency operations—stakeholder comms, tool improvements, knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and overall operational tidiness.
  • Mentor and manage PMs on your team, raising the bar for craft, accountability, and ways of working.
  • Make order out of ambiguity—you can walk into a project with no playbook and leave with one, defining process where there is none without over-engineering it.

Benefits

  • Three health plan options (two 100% employer-paid)
  • 100% employer-paid Life Insurance and Short + Long-Term Disability
  • 401(k) plan
  • Personalized PTO (our version of unlimited PTO)
  • 10 Paid Holidays
  • Monthly commuter stipend
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave (birth or adoption)
