About The Position
Verdantas is seeking a Water & Wastewater Senior Project Manager to grow its engineering team in its Midwest offices. The successful candidate will apply expertise in planning, design, construction, and client service to execute water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects. The position leads project development from planning and design through construction completion, oversees project delivery and multidisciplinary teams, and supports client relationships and business development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in water, wastewater, or stormwater planning, design, and construction administration as a lead design engineer or project manager.
- Strong team leadership experience or demonstrated potential, including managing project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio or ability to obtain one within six months.
- Excellent technical skills in water, wastewater, or stormwater practice areas.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct technical development and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, including supply, storage, collection and distribution, treatment, and pumping/conveyance systems, from planning and design through construction completion.
- Deliver projects within established budgets and schedules and in accordance with client expectations.
- Prepare construction documents, including plans and specifications.
- Prepare project cost estimates and schedules.
- Supervise and provide technical direction and expertise to design engineers and technical staff.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Support or lead proposal preparation and strategic client pursuits.
- Manage client relationships.
- Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, permitting agencies, and contractors.
