This role involves collaborating with project managers to refine Estimates at Completion (EAC), develop and maintain detailed cash flow projections, and provide monthly and annual forecasts to leadership. The position requires reviewing and validating major construction contracts, contractor deliverables, and milestone/progress payment schedules. Responsibilities include overseeing financial transactions, PO commitments, and cost expenditures for effective cost control, as well as developing, validating, and reporting annual cost variances. The role also involves tracking and reporting project contingency usage and remaining balances to minimize cost overrun risk, completing monthly accruals in compliance with FERC accounting standards, and supporting project managers by maintaining the project risk register and facilitating risk review meetings. Additionally, the position requires developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, performing strategic cost and schedule analysis for capital budget planning and IRP filings, and supporting the preparation of executive-level reports. Reviewing vendor invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor expenses, generating internal labor cost reports, analyzing cost variances, and initiating cost transfers and journal entries are also key duties. Monitoring milestones, deliverables, and dependencies is crucial for on-time project completion. Candidates should have a strong project controls foundation and be capable of learning company systems and processes, though not necessarily experienced in every listed aspect.
