We handle media localization and translation services for projects of any size, from indie to AAA games, helping clients reach global audiences by translating their games into target languages and dialects. We ensure expert quality control throughout the game development and translation process through both technology solutions and human oversight.

Requirements

  • Experience in videogames and/or localization sectors (client or vendor side).
  • Familiarity with production workflows is a plus.
  • Experience working with CAT tools (especially memoQ) is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of PC and MS Office products is essential.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in client-facing communication in both English and Japanese is a plus.
  • Business-level command of Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher) is a must.
  • Ability to use good judgment to prioritize tasks.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a remote, fast-paced, complex global environment.
  • Able to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must be motivated and a team player.
  • Predisposed for personal learning and training.
  • Effectively apply business-specific technology and methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Business, Audio, Translation, Computer Science or Games Development.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the project management team manages projects efficiently and oversee all team needs.
  • Ensure the profitability of assigned accounts.
  • Assist the Senior Production Manager in understanding production localization workflow details and processes.
  • Gather client needs and transform them into actionable steps.
  • Evangelize, implement, and promote the use of technology and automation across the team.
  • Promote the use and implementation of consistent and standardized processes, ensuring they are well-documented and maintained.
  • Coordinate tasks and responsibilities amongst the Global team and guide prioritization of work.
  • Monitor capacity, distribute workload, and report to the Senior Production Manager on status.
  • Manage bank holiday coverage as required.
  • Monitor the flow of work and analyze data to ensure no backlogs or issues.
  • Liaise with the client or Senior Production Manager on live work.
  • Assist with management of projects if needed.
  • Work with the PM team to document all processes and maintain documents up-to-date.
  • Proactively work with the PM team to identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiencies and technologies.
  • Provide feedback to Company stakeholders and/or Senior Production Manager on technical issues or potential improvements, utilizing feedback from PMs and linguists and assessing need and priority.
  • Work with the Senior Production Manager and global team to ensure project-specific workflows and KWS technical processes are followed.
  • Be proactive in making decisions on work methods to be used on projects and at a team level, while liaising with the Senior Production Manager and following established standards and procedures.
  • Ensure account costs are within budget.
  • Regularly review account margins.
  • Analyze cost versus productivity.
  • Liaise with the Senior Production Manager to ensure the team follows the global strategy.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Production Manager on invoicing processes, including obtaining spend report data and inputting revenue and costs into BPS if applicable.
  • Oversee the approval of supplies and any related costs.
  • Provide inputs on forecasting based on client pipeline information.
  • Support the implementation of any margin improvement actions.
  • Provide financial reporting as needed.
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, understanding their goals and expectations and anticipating/addressing client needs and concerns to prevent issues.
  • Supervise the PMs' daily communication with clients, ensuring it is professional and efficient, and following up on issues as needed.
  • Ensure regular communication within the team, fostering good working relationships with all global team members.
  • Ensure prompt and professional addressing of communication from the team and other internal or external stakeholders.
  • Attend client meetings as needed.
  • Coordinate and implement client strategy as required.
  • Keep the Senior Production Manager informed about account health and any challenges.
  • Ensure client complaints are promptly addressed, following KWS and internal processes, and involving the Senior Production Manager when needed by ensuring the Keywords CAPA process is followed.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their goals and expectations and anticipate/address client needs and concerns to prevent issues.
  • Provide support to team members.
  • Work with the Senior Production Manager to assess training needs and prepare a training plan to achieve department objectives and goals, while covering all necessary project needs.
