About The Position

The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage cross-functional project teams for large, complex power generation projects, including internal projects and engineering teams as well as external resources, including outside engineering groups and subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering discipline or minimum 10 years of power generation or data center construction experience.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, engineering or EPC projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HSE, Quality, and Commissioning protocols.
  • Strong understanding of the power generation sector, including reciprocating engine systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and scheduling/project controls software.
  • Ability to travel nationally to project sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification or equivalent project management qualification is desireable.
  • Experience with Procore, Primavera P6, or similar project tracking software (nice to have).
  • Experience in multi-engine containerized solutions and utility interconnect processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine site walks and leadership meetings to ensure safety compliance and real-time schedule alignment.
  • Manage overall performance and delivery of projects against contractual timelines, scope, and quality standards.
  • Organize and facilitate regular internal coordination meetings and one-to-one sessions with key team members to monitor progress, resolve issues, and keep the project on track.
  • Provide training and mentorship opportunities for team members to improve performance and project delivery capabilities.
  • Liaise with major stakeholders to interpret project goals, resolve issues, and advise leadership on contractual deviations.
  • Negotiate and agree on project milestones, critical path activities, and commercial terms with client representatives.
  • Develop and manage detailed construction and commissioning schedules using tools such as Procore and Primavera P6.
  • Partner with the Finance Director to forecast and track project costs, payment milestones, and revenue recognition aligned with contract obligations; individual will own the project’s budget and will manage the overall project P&L.
  • Ensure all projects are executed in strict compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and Quality standards.
  • Assign and manage resources—internal and subcontracted—to maintain project momentum and achieve quality benchmarks.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage vendor and subcontractor agreements to ensure value, reliability, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor progress at all stages of construction, mechanical/electrical installation, commissioning, and client handover—taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain proactive communication with all project stakeholders, updating on progress, mitigating risks, and ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Project Director and internal stakeholders, including risk assessments, progress metrics, and issue resolution.
