Parsons is now hiring a Senior Project Manager to join our Sandy Springs office to support major regional transportation infrastructure projects! This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related technical field)
15+ years of related engineering management experience in the transportation industry, preferably in Georgia
Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required
Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.
Must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements.
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications
Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.

Nice To Haves

Delivery experience with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

Act as a company representative with the client and subcontractors during project execution, leading external and internal meetings and discussions.
Work with discipline leads and project engineers to develop, negotiate and monitor scope, schedule and budgets on relevant DOT projects.
Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
Oversee and review technical project deliverables, including ensuring that all applicable technical standards are followed and monitoring productivity and progress.
Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Project Management Information System (PMIS), Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to the project team after careful assessment of project requirements and team qualifications and strengths.
Ultimately responsible for execution of project tasks and deliverables.
Act as a mentor to junior staff and enhance the current high-performance culture.
Ensure all quality processes and requirements are continuously followed.
Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
