Parsons is now hiring a Senior Project Manager to join our Sandy Springs office to support major regional transportation infrastructure projects! This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related technical field)
  • 15+ years of related engineering management experience in the transportation industry, preferably in Georgia
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.
  • Must meet Parsons' project management certification requirements.
  • Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications
  • Must have the ability to manage projects, interface with clients and enjoy being hands on technically in the project.

Nice To Haves

  • Delivery experience with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a company representative with the client and subcontractors during project execution, leading external and internal meetings and discussions.
  • Work with discipline leads and project engineers to develop, negotiate and monitor scope, schedule and budgets on relevant DOT projects.
  • Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
  • Oversee and review technical project deliverables, including ensuring that all applicable technical standards are followed and monitoring productivity and progress.
  • Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Project Management Information System (PMIS), Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
  • Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
  • Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to the project team after careful assessment of project requirements and team qualifications and strengths.
  • Ultimately responsible for execution of project tasks and deliverables.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff and enhance the current high-performance culture.
  • Ensure all quality processes and requirements are continuously followed.
  • Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
