About The Position

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their growing Water group in Tampa, FL. This role focuses on business development and project delivery for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities. The position offers a leadership opportunity in a newly established office, aiming to expand the company's presence in the Tampa Bay region, build client relationships, and develop a high-performing team. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with engineers to enhance infrastructure, sustainability, and community resilience.

Requirements

B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months
15+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater treatment, pumping systems, and pipeline projects across full project lifecycle
Proven ability to manage municipal clients and lead multidisciplinary teams
Strong leadership, initiative, and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Active participation in professional organizations

Responsibilities

Assist business development efforts across the Tampa Bay region.
Serve as Client Account Manager for up to three key clients.
Lead pursuit strategy, proposal development, and interview preparation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal clients and stakeholders.
Serve as Senior Project Manager for municipal water and wastewater projects.
Manage preparation and delivery of reports, specifications, plans, studies, cost estimates and design calculations.
Oversee multidisciplinary teams.
Lead stakeholder meetings.
Oversee construction phase services (shop drawings, RFIs, clarifications).
Lead permitting efforts.
Mentor staff, foster a collaborative and fun team environment.
