Senior Project Manager - Water Resources
About The Position
RESPEC seeks a Water Resource Senior Project Manager in our Water market sector, located in Denver, CO. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be involved with all forms of planning, design, and specialty services related to the stormwater and water resources engineering field. Projects often involve hydrology, hydraulics, floodplain analyses, detention/water quality BMP design, stream restoration, bridge scour, trail design, stormwater management plans, MS4 compliance, and water rights. The ideal candidate will have project engineering management experience and be eager to mentor and develop junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in stormwater engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or ability to obtain upon hire, and have experience in providing engineering services the state.
- Practical application of various H&H software, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and XPSWMM.
- At least 5 years of experience managing teams of engineers to provide stormwater engineering services.
- At least 5 years of experience mentoring and leading junior engineers in technical and non-technical aspects of stormwater engineering.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.
Nice To Haves
- At least 5 years of experience in business development and client management.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and guiding construction plan packages and/or master planning studies.
- Experience with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Letters of Map Change (LOMC) and floodplain mapping.
- Experience with AutoCAD and GIS.
- Experience with construction oversight of stormwater project installations.
