About The Position
AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a dynamic and highly technical Transportation design team in Southern Florida. This is an engineering position for an experienced Project/Design Manager with an emphasis on Highway/Roadway design who will be responsible for the technical design and management of roadway design projects in South Florida. This is a great opportunity to produce/manage technical designs and assist in growing the engineering transportation team in our Coral Gables and Ft. Lauderdale offices.
Requirements
- BS/BA Civil Engineering Degree or related field.
- 10 years of transportation engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
- Experience in engineering leadership roles and project management.
- Accomplished track record in Transportation/Roadway design projects and client relationships with FDOT Districts 4 & 6.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MicroStation and GEOPAK, 3D corridor modeling.
- Experienced as a seller/doer for transportation in the South Florida market.
Nice To Haves
- 15 years of experience in transportation/highway engineering and management of design projects
- Experience with the design and management of limited-access facilities.
- FDOT Design and Design Build experience
Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Manager for key roadway design project pursuits.
- Managing budgets, schedules, client engagement, managing subcontractors, and ensuring QA/QC of all deliverables.
- Develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.
- Provide technical expertise by formulating and developing advanced design concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Assuring effective utilization of engineering personnel and technical quality.
- General business development and marketing focus, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high-quality performance.
- Mentor and lead a team of Transportation professionals.
